Start with the product label
Look for the manufacturer’s REF, catalogue number or MPN on the label, packaging or official product documentation. Copy all digits and suffixes exactly. A barcode, lot number and product reference can identify different things.
Identify the exact device
Record the full manufacturer and model name, including any model suffix. Similar device names do not by themselves confirm that a reagent or consumable is compatible.
Keep versions separate
Treat a different generation, pack size or formulation as a separate item until the official documentation confirms the relationship. Do not substitute a product based only on a similar name.
Send the information together
Include the REF, device model, quantity and pack unit in one enquiry. Product suitability, storage and shipping requirements should be checked against the documentation for the specific product and market.
